Foxglove & Echinacea

Sex: Foxglove - male (white), Echinacea - female (black)
Age: Born approx Spring 2022
Size: Small lops
Neuters: 20/3/23
Vacs: 20/3/23
Reason for arrival: They were part of a 50+ rabbit situation. Someone with mental health difficulties had taken in many rabbits from various places and wasn't looking after them. We've worked with another local rescue to get them all out and we've sent some to other further away rescues after we've neutered & vaccinated them

Temperament with people: Approaches very willingly to see what food is on offer, happy to eat from hands. Backs away if attempting to stroke, pretty easy to pick up for vets/nail clipping etc
Diet: A mix of Hay Box timothy and local meadow hay (not bagged pet shop hay), various wild plants such as plantain, wood avens, young brambles, dandelions, yarrow, apple leaves, strawberry leaves, geraniums, hazel leaves, willow etc. Also enjoy dried mixes of flowers/wild plants/herbs and fresh grass. They occasionally get some cold pressed grain-free pellets during the winter
Type of home needed: They currently live outdoors but could live indoors. We highly recommend that indoor homes set up a UVB light for rabbits for vitamin D.
If you're interested in adopting them head to the Care & Adoption page to read through the rabbit section, the online application is within the Adoption page
