Bedding/substrate

We mostly use Aubiose or Finacard for mice. Most pet shop woodshavings are unsafe but kiln dried ones are ok (eg Pure Flake Extra, Littlemax etc. Aspen and hemp are good too

Please read these blog posts by FiveLittleHams:  Choosing bedding        Safe & Unsafe nesting material

They're about hamsters but it also applies to mice so they're worth a read

All fluffy types of nesting material are unsafe, even if they're marketed as 'safe'. Use teabag type nesting material instead or non-scented loo roll ripped up
