Sex: Nettle - female, Alder - male
Age: Guessed born early 2022

Size: Standard rexes (medium)

Neuters: Nettle - 26/8/22, Alder 14/10/22

Vacs: Both 16/8/22

Reason for arrival: They were dumped along with more rabbits on a rescue in Wilmslow. The rescue needed help placing them so we took on these 2 to help them out.

Temperament with people: Both stand on hind legs at the door for food and are happy to eat from my hands. Both allow some stroking but if they know they're going to be picked up (for vets or nails etc) they do back away but aren't physically hard to handle.

Diet: A mix of Hay Box timothy and local meadow hay (not bagged pet shop hay), various wild plants such as plantain, wood avens, young brambles, dandelions, yarrow, apple leaves, strawberry leaves, geraniums, hazel leaves, willow etc. Also enjoy dried mixes of flowers/wild plants/herbs and fresh grass. They occasionally get some cold pressed grain-free pellets during the winter months but now we're into spring they're pellet-free

Type of home needed: They currently live outdoors but could live indoors. We highly recommend that indoor homes set up a UVB light for rabbits for vitamin D

If you're interested in adopting them head to the Care & Adoption page to read through the rabbit section, the online application is within the Adoption page
