Oak

Sex: Male
Age: Born approx mid 2022
Size: fairly large, likely a continental giant crossbreed
Neuter: 27/2/23
Vacs: 27/2/23
Reason for arrival: He was part of a group of rabbits that another rescue were asked to take in, a pair of adults and some babies. Oak is the dad, we also have Pine & Sycamore of this family, they're his sons
Temperament with people: Shy, will poke his nose through an entrance to eat food as I put it there but won't do that out in the open yet. Doesn't want to be touched, but when needed he's not very difficult to pick up and handle
Diet: A mix of Hay Box timothy and local meadow hay (not bagged pet shop hay), various wild plants such as plantain, wood avens, young brambles, dandelions, yarrow, apple leaves, strawberry leaves, geraniums, hazel leaves, willow etc. Also enjoys dried mixes of flowers/wild plants/herbs and fresh grass. He occasionally gets some cold pressed grain-free pellets during the winter months but now we're into spring he's pellet-free
Type of home needed: He currently lives outdoors but could live indoors. We highly recommend that indoor homes set up a UVB light for rabbits for vitamin D. He's currently single so needs a rabbit partner
If you're interested in adopting him head to the Care & Adoption page to read through the rabbit section, the online application is within the Adoption page
