Sex: Male
Age: Born approx Spring 2022

Size: Small

Neuter: 20/3/23

Vacs: 20/3/23

Reason for arrival: He was part of a 50+ rabbit situation. Someone with mental health difficulties had taken in many rabbits from various places and wasn't looking after them. We've worked with another local rescue to get them all out and we've sent some to other further away rescues after we've neutered & vaccinated them. Bay was one of the buns who was rescued on the 2nd trip to the house. He arrived with a flap of skin hanging off his nose from being housed with other rabbits unneutered, it was operated on during his neuter the morning after his rescue

Temperament with people: Sweet but a bit shy, happy to eat from hands now but does still hop away if you reach out to him to stroke. Easy to handle for vet trips/nail clipping etc

Diet: A mix of Hay Box timothy and local meadow hay (not bagged pet shop hay), various wild plants such as plantain, wood avens, young brambles, dandelions, yarrow, apple leaves, strawberry leaves, geraniums, hazel leaves, willow etc. Also enjoys dried mixes of flowers/wild plants/herbs and fresh grass. He occasionally gets some cold pressed grain-free pellets during the winter months but now we're into spring he's pellet-free

Type of home needed: He currently lives outdoors but could live indoors. We highly recommend that indoor homes set up a UVB light for rabbits for vitamin D. He's currently single so needs a rabbit partner

If you're interested in adopting him head to the Care & Adoption page to read through the rabbit section, the online application is within the Adoption page
