Fern

Sex: Female
Age: Born Spring 2024
Size: small, nethie cross
Neuter: 4/4/25
Vacs: 21/1/25
Reason for arrival: Came from a mis-sexing situation with various other rabbits. We took in 7, she came from the same place that Banoffee came from who was put to sleep due to lung consolidation and pneumonia from the previous living conditions. Fern and the others from this case all had a month of antibiotics in case they were affected, before this Fern had a spay attempt but struggled under the anaesthetic, she got through it after the month of meds.

Temperament with people: Nervous if she knows you're going to touch her but getting confident at taking food by hand
Diet: A mix of Hay Box timothy and local meadow hay (not bagged pet shop hay), various wild plants such as plantain, wood avens, young brambles, dandelions, yarrow, apple leaves, strawberry leaves, geraniums, hazel leaves, willow etc. Also enjoys dried mixes of flowers/wild plants/herbs and fresh grass. She occasionally had some cold pressed grain-free pellets during the colder days but not now we're into spring
Type of home needed: She currently lives outdoors but could live indoors. We highly recommend that indoor homes set up a UVB light for rabbits for vitamin D. She's currently single so needs a rabbit partner
If you're interested in adopting her head to the Care & Adoption page to read through the rabbit section, the online application is within the Adoption page
